Independently tested by Taywood Engineering, Proflex A has inbuilt flexibility allowing for normal expansion and contraction of the concrete surface whilst still allowing the structure to breathe.
Ben Collins, Technical Sales Manager for Nufins commented "the client wanted a BS EN 1504-2 conforming anti-carbonation coating to protect the vertical surfaces of the spiral ramps. Proflex A offers enhanced protection being flexible yet will still allow the concrete to breathe. With a film elongation of 370% Proflex A offers superior crack bridging properties too".
USL StructureCare will be using the Proflex A anti-carbonation coating as part of a major refurbishment of the car park which also includes 13,000m2 of protective deck coatings.
